k9directory

I’d like to thank Devonshire Cottage Holidays, for becoming a premier sponsor on the Devon pages. They offer fourteen self catering cottages which allow pets - use the banner shown to review all fourteen cottages and their locations.

Here are the new listings added this month :-

  1. The Nook Self Catering Cottage - accommodation for up to 5 people in a spectacular West Highland village setting in Lochaber, known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK.

I have been thinking about how to improve the sales page for new property owners. I wanted to portray that the site does generate very good bookings and leads - so I used the Google Chart API to show the bookings by month as a bar chart. I feel that actual bookings is a better measure of a sites performance, rather than the number of visitors. Since adding the chart, I have had a few more enquires from larger hotel chains.

Adding Google Maps To k9directory

I have been thinking about adding an interactive Google map to k9directory for a while, however I haven’t used the Map API since version one. As he current version is three, I thought I better research the what the changes are. This led me to a couple of blog postings by Gabriel Svennerberg, who is writing a book titled Beginning Google Maps API 3, which after reading the free chapter X marks the spot will a useful addition to any developers library.
